GSRTC, over the years, has built up a large fund of goodwill from people of Gujarat. It has brought transport service to the doorstep of villagers in most remote parts, while keeping pace in terms of schedule and service standards thrown up by the urban growth. It has tried to reconcile the twin objectives of community service and financial viability. In recent years the popular expectations have soared. Financial viability has become a critical goal. GSRTC is in the process of reorienting itself to meet the challenges thrown up by the new environment.
It has launched terminal/ bus-station-based commercial development projects to leverage upon its various strengths . It is innovating its product and services; upgrading its operational management; strengthening its supply chain management and bringing to bear a distinctive customer focus on its entire business. It is fortunate to have received wholehearted support from the state government. GSRTC reiterates its resolve to accomplish fresh dynamism and prosperity, while remaining wedded to community service in the next few years.
